The mind…it’s all in the mind!

You have to believe it!!

Some twenty years ago, my career path changed, I became self-employed, and a chance meeting allowed me to immerse myself into the world of “Peak Performance” and “Sports Psychology”. The rest is history and was in part the start of my work with athletes in Kenya.

Eliud Kipchoge, the greatest marathon runner of all time, and his famous quote above. The opportunity to spend time talking with his Coach, Patrick Sang along similar lines…a 45 minute 121 with Sir Alex Ferguson…Gary Kisten, then Captain of the South African cricket team, we had three days together in a group…there are others!

We are what we believe. I hope that while you read some of my own quotes below, that you will take a few moments to reflect, think, and then consider what you want to achieve…and then ask yourself “what is stopping me”. The answer may be closer to home than you realise!

The future belongs to those that believe...And know that today’s efforts will be rewarded in the future.

See beyond your current boundaries. The unknown may be daunting but future success is based on your current stretch and belief.

How far do your horizons stretch? The only boundaries are the ones that you place before you.

Well written Goals produce excitement...Well executed Goals produce results. Stay focused until the end!

Success is only relative to the stretch in the goal that you set. Be brave in your vision and celebrate your wins.

Never be put off by the stretch of your ambition. Some might scoff, but the final smile as you succeed will be yours!

People scoffed at the thought of anyone running a sub 4minute mile. Sir Roger Bannister changed all that in 1954…the rest is history. See beyond your boundaries and stretch your imagination…you might be pleasantly surprised!
